Privacy Policy

Your privacy is core to DruzeCircle. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

1. Data We Collect. We collect your name, email, birthdate, gender, region, photos, prompts, and preferences; verification data (email address and a one-time verification selfie, reviewed by our team before your account goes live); optional profile details you choose to add, such as family origin or village, which are visible only to members you've matched with; your privacy settings (including Discreet Mode, "Not Currently Browsing," and your hide-from list); posts and replies you make on the Community Q&A board; and any feedback, event submissions, or report evidence (such as screenshots or message text) you choose to provide. We also collect information about your interactions on the platform (likes, matches, messages).

2. Sensitive Data. DruzeCircle collects information about religious and ethnic identity (Druze community membership). This is special-category data under laws like the GDPR. We collect this to serve the platform's purpose of connecting members of the Druze diaspora.

3. Location. We store only region-level location data. We do not collect or store precise GPS coordinates. Your region is visible to other members; your precise location is never shared.

4. Verification Selfie. The selfie liveness check is used only for identity verification. It is not displayed on your profile, not shared with other members, and is deleted after the verification period.

5. Privacy Controls. Discreet Mode is on by default. When active, you are only shown to, and only see, other members who also have Discreet Mode enabled — it pairs you with an equally cautious group rather than making you invisible to everyone. "Not Currently Browsing" removes you from Discover entirely, while keeping full access to Community Q&A, Events, and the Glossary. Your Hide-From List lets you exclude specific members, by name, from seeing your profile and from appearing in yours.

6. Messages. Messages between matched members are private. We do not display them to non-participants.

7. Reports and Evidence. If you report another member, you may optionally provide supporting evidence such as screenshots or message text. This is voluntary and is used solely to investigate that report. We retain records of reports and their outcomes for accountability purposes.

8. Data Retention. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.

9. Third Parties. We do not sell your data. We use service providers for authentication, hosting, and messaging infrastructure.

10. Your Rights. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data.

11. Children. DruzeCircle is not for anyone under 18.
